The most remarkable feature of the autogenous mill is to feed the original ore coming from the quarry or coarsely-crushed ore directly into the mill. In general, the mineral is fed to the mill in proper grain proportion. The autogenous mill can mill the material up to -0.074mm for one time, which content amounts to 20-50% of the total, with the crushing ration up to 4000-5000, more than ten times higher than the ball (rod) mill, so the the autogenous mill is a new type mill with the crushing and milling function. The milled material is used as a milling medium and milling will be done by shocking and grinding of milled material each other, thus the autogenous mill is named, also called mill without medium.
